CARDIOLATES®

Combining the cardiovascular and cellular benefits of rebounding with the strength and toning of Pilates, CARDIOLATES® is a fresh alternative to standard cardio workouts. Rebounding strengthens the body's musculoskeletal system without the joint impact of jogging or aerobics.

CARDIOLATES® is a total body workout that is fun, fat burning and core strengthening, all in one.

CARDIOLATES® was founded in NYC, at Pilates on Fifth by creators Kimberly and Katherine Corp. Each class begins with a warm up based on Mat Pilates followed by 30-40 minutes of bouncing. Although the bouncing becomes increasingly challenging, you can work at your fitness level and jump at your own pace.

Because rebounding combines the forces of acceleration, deceleration and gravity, every cell of the body is stimulated and strengthened at the bottom of the bounce. Your body receives roughly double the gravitational force at the bottom of the bounce, and up to 3-4 times the force if you're jumping high; however, because the mat absorbs 87% of the shock, rebounding does not have a negative jarring impact on the joints. NASA has used rebounding for years to condition astronauts before and after space travel, and their studies show rebounding to be 68% more efficient than running.
