Leslie J. Hamm creator of BarSculpt(TM) started her fitness career while living in NYC after graduating from the University of Southern Maine with a degree in Theatre. While working in NYC she had the pleasure of studying under Lotte Berk Method founder Lydia Bach, Core Fusion Founders Elisabeth Halfpapp and Fred DeVito, and Kimberly and Katherine Corp. Leslie after teaching the Lotte Berk Method, became certified first as a Stott Pilates instructor, also a Certified Personal trainer and later as an instructor and instructor trainer for Pilates with Pilates Academy International. Leslie enjoys the art of group fitness training!

Eva Matteson

The daughter of a ballerina with American Ballet Theater, Through her love for the discipline, gracefulness and strength found in ballet exercises, Eva discovered Pilates in the late 1990s and quickly became a fan. In addition to her local Maine celebrity status (as the co-anchor of the Coast Morning show 93.1) Eva holds a certification for teaching Spinning classes, BarSculpt and Pilates through Pilates Academy International. She wildly enjoys helping others discover the health and body benefits of "scooping those abs" through Pilates!

Phyllis Korsen

Phyllis comes to Pure Movement by way of almost 30 years as an RN. Throughout the Portland area she has over 15 years experience personal training and teaching a variety of group fitness classes. Phyllis is Pilates certified through Pilates Academy International. She finds teaching Pilates a totally new direction in health and fitness, very challenging and very exciting.

Julie Largay

Julie Largay is a graduate of University of Southern Maine with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Music. She is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Julie became interested in training and exercise after completing her first marathon and learning the importance of strength training for endurance and to prevent injuries. Julie has completed multiple marathons and an ultra-marathon, and has recently taken up barefoot running.

Marin Weiner

Marin is a graduate from University of Wisconsin, Madison with a B.S in Journalism, and recently completed her Master's Degree in Nutrition from Saint Josephs College. She started teaching Pilates in Milford, CT and is trained by in STOTT & Pilates Academy International for Mat and Reformer. She loves teaching and participating in all kinds of exercise and is completely dedicated to health and fitness.
