Mat Pilates
Pilates class begins with focused abdominal exercises designed to increase blood flow and deepen the breath by challenging your core and pumping oxygen through the body. You will spend much of the class on the floor moving through a series of exercises proven to tighten your abs relieving back tension and toning your body all over. Pilates will give your body lean muscle throughout. Although Mat Pilates is “core-centric” work (meaning all exercises begin from your center), you will work your entire body.
Pilates Apparatus
The power of utilizing the Pilates Apparatus lies in its ability to provide mechanical advantage. The assistance or resistance that the Pilates Apparatus provides allows us to work the body in a range of motion that we otherwise could not effectively or safely maintain. A Pilates workout utilizing Apparatus is the path that leads to the greatest results.
Pilates Private Sessions on Apparatus:
55 minute One-on-one sessions designed specifically to meet your individual needs. They provide more personalized attention and may be more appropriate if you have current or past injuries, if you do not like a class setting or if you want the greater challenge and variety offered by the Apparatus. Sessions include use of the Pilates Apparatus: The Reformer and The Cadillac. They can also include Mat work, Stability balls, free weights, foam rollers, magic circles, and stretching if appropriate for you. Sessions are available by appointment, click here

Duet Sessions:
55 minute sessions are much like private sessions but they include two clients working with one teacher. If you have someone you would like to work out with who is about the same fitness level as you, you can schedule a duet session together. If you don't have anyone in mind, we suggest that you come in for at least one private session and we will evaluate your fitness level so that we can try to match you up with an appropriate duet partner. Often it will benefit you to do a series of private sessions before you move on to a duet. Each person is an individual and we will work with you to create the best possible duet or private experience. Partner sessions are available by appointment, please call for details.
Pilates on the Ball
In this Mat-based Pilates class, the addition of a stability ball serves to challenge balance and strength. Each exercise is designed to sculpt a leaner, tighter body. The acquired controlled, non-impact movements work together to improve core strength, coordination, and flexibility.
